Peccary
The peccary is a medium-sized mammal native to the Americas, particularly found in regions ranging from the southwestern United States to South America. They are often confused with pigs but belong to a different family called Tayassuidae. Peccaries have a stocky build, short legs, and a bristly coat, typically gray or brown in color.
There are three main species of peccaries: the collared peccary, the white-lipped peccary, and the Chacoan peccary. These animals are social and often live in groups, foraging for fruits, roots, and small animals. Peccaries play an important role in their ecosystems by helping to disperse seeds.
