Pashai
Pashai is a group of languages spoken by the Pashai people in eastern Afghanistan. These languages belong to the Dardic branch of the Indo-Aryan language family. The Pashai people primarily inhabit the mountainous regions of the Nangarhar and Kunar provinces, where they maintain a distinct cultural identity.
The Pashai community is known for its rich traditions, including unique music, dance, and handicrafts. Despite their small population, the Pashai people have preserved their language and customs, contributing to the diverse cultural tapestry of Afghanistan. Efforts are ongoing to document and promote the Pashai languages and heritage.
