Paris Zoo
The Paris Zoo, officially known as Parc Zoologique de Paris, is located in the Vincennes Woods in the eastern part of Paris. It covers an area of 14.5 hectares and is home to over 1,000 animals representing around 180 species. The zoo is designed to mimic natural habitats, providing a more immersive experience for visitors.
Opened in 1934 and renovated in 2014, the Paris Zoo features five biozones: Sahel-Sudan, Amazonia, Patagonia, Europe, and Madagascar. Each zone showcases unique ecosystems and the animals that inhabit them, promoting conservation and education about wildlife and their environments.
