Paracas
Paracas is a coastal region in southern Peru, known for its stunning natural beauty and rich archaeological history. It features the Paracas National Reserve, which protects diverse marine life and unique landscapes, including cliffs, beaches, and desert areas. The region is also famous for the Paracas Candelabra, a large geoglyph etched into the hillside.
The area is historically significant due to the Paracas culture, which thrived between 800 BCE and 100 CE. This civilization is renowned for its advanced textile techniques and elaborate burial practices, as seen in the Paracas Necropolis, where many mummies and artifacts have been discovered.
