Paracas Candelabra
The Paracas Candelabra is a large geoglyph located on the Paracas Peninsula in Peru. It is carved into the hillside and resembles a giant candelabra with three prongs. The figure is approximately 595 feet tall and can be seen from the sea, making it a notable landmark for sailors and tourists alike.
Dating back to around 200 BC, the origins and purpose of the candelabra remain a mystery. Some theories suggest it may have been a navigational aid for ancient mariners, while others believe it could be linked to the ancient culture of the Paracas people, known for their advanced textile work and burial practices.
