Papilloma
A papilloma is a benign tumor that forms on the skin or mucous membranes, often resembling a wart. These growths are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which can infect epithelial cells. Papillomas can appear in various shapes and sizes, and while they are generally harmless, some types may lead to complications if left untreated.
Papillomas can occur in different areas of the body, including the breast, bladder, and larynx. They are usually diagnosed through physical examination or biopsy. Treatment options may include surgical removal or monitoring, depending on the location and symptoms associated with the papilloma.
