Pan-STARRS
Pan-STARRS (Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System) is an astronomical survey project based in Hawaii. It uses advanced telescopes to scan the sky for near-Earth objects, such as asteroids and comets, as well as to conduct wide-field surveys of distant galaxies and other celestial phenomena.
The project consists of two main telescopes: Pan-STARRS1 and Pan-STARRS2. These telescopes are equipped with high-resolution cameras and specialized software to quickly detect and track moving objects in the sky, contributing valuable data to the field of astronomy and enhancing our understanding of the universe.
