Pan-STARRS1
Pan-STARRS1 is a wide-field astronomical survey telescope located on the summit of Haleakalā in Hawaii. It was designed to detect and track near-Earth objects, including asteroids and comets, as well as to conduct deep-sky surveys of galaxies and other celestial phenomena.
Launched in 2010, Pan-STARRS1 features a large 1.8-meter mirror and a unique camera capable of capturing wide-field images. Its observations have contributed significantly to our understanding of the solar system and the universe, making it a vital tool for astronomers and researchers worldwide.
