Palestinian Displacement
Palestinian displacement refers to the forced movement of Palestinian people from their homes and lands, primarily due to conflicts and political tensions in the region. This displacement began in 1948 during the establishment of the state of Israel, which led to the first major wave of refugees. Many Palestinians were uprooted from their communities, resulting in a significant diaspora.
Over the years, additional conflicts, such as the Six-Day War in 1967, further exacerbated the situation, leading to more displacements. Today, millions of Palestinians live as refugees in various countries, while others remain in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, facing ongoing challenges related to their status and rights.
