Out-of-Body Experiences
An out-of-body experience (OBE) is a phenomenon where a person feels as though they are observing their physical body from a distance. This can occur during moments of extreme stress, trauma, or even deep relaxation. People often report a sensation of floating or moving outside their body, sometimes viewing their surroundings from above.
Research into OBEs suggests they may be linked to brain activity, particularly in areas responsible for spatial awareness and self-perception. While some individuals interpret these experiences as spiritual or mystical, scientific explanations often focus on neurological and psychological factors that can trigger such sensations.
