Out of Egypt
"Out of Egypt" refers to the biblical story of the Israelites' escape from slavery in Egypt. This event is primarily described in the book of Exodus in the Bible. Led by Moses, the Israelites fled after a series of plagues struck Egypt, culminating in the death of the firstborn sons. This pivotal moment is celebrated during the Jewish holiday of Passover.
The journey out of Egypt involved crossing the Red Sea, which, according to the narrative, was miraculously parted by God to allow the Israelites to escape. After their departure, the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years before reaching the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
