Ostrich Eggs
Ostrich eggs are the largest eggs produced by any living bird, measuring about 15 centimeters in length and weighing around 1.4 kilograms. They have a thick, hard shell that can be pale cream or light brown in color. An ostrich egg is equivalent to about 24 chicken eggs in volume, making it a significant source of nutrition.
These eggs are laid by the ostrich, a flightless bird native to Africa. The female typically lays between 7 to 10 eggs in a communal nest, which is then incubated by both parents. Ostrich eggs are known for their durability and can withstand considerable weight without breaking.
