Orodes II
Orodes II was a king of the Parthian Empire, ruling from around 57 to 38 BCE. He was the son of Phraates III and is known for his conflicts with the Roman Republic, particularly during the time of Marcus Licinius Crassus. His reign was marked by military struggles and political challenges.
During Orodes II's rule, he faced significant opposition, including the defeat of Crassus at the Battle of Carrhae in 53 BCE, which solidified his power. However, his reign also saw internal strife, leading to his eventual downfall and the rise of his rival, Phraates IV.
