Phraates III
Phraates III was a king of the Parthian Empire, ruling from around 70 to 58 BCE. He was the son of Phraates II and is known for his efforts to strengthen the empire during his reign. His rule was marked by conflicts with the Roman Republic, particularly over control of territories in the east.
During his reign, Phraates III faced challenges from both internal factions and external enemies. He is noted for his diplomatic relations with Rome, which included negotiations and attempts to stabilize the region. His reign ended when he was overthrown, leading to a period of instability in the Parthian Empire.
