Organic Standards
Organic standards are guidelines that define how agricultural products should be grown, processed, and handled to be labeled as organic. These standards focus on practices that promote ecological balance, biodiversity, and soil health, while prohibiting the use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
In many countries, such as the United States and European Union, organic certification is required for farmers and producers to sell their products as organic. This certification process ensures that the products meet specific criteria, providing consumers with confidence in the integrity and quality of organic goods.
