Operation Rah-e-Nijat
Operation Rah-e-Nijat was a military operation launched by the Pakistan Army in June 2009. Its primary objective was to eliminate the presence of Taliban militants in the Swat Valley and surrounding areas, which had seen a significant rise in violence and extremism. The operation aimed to restore peace and stability in the region.
The operation involved ground troops, air support, and intelligence operations to target militant hideouts. It resulted in the displacement of many civilians but ultimately succeeded in reclaiming control over the region from militant forces, leading to a gradual return to normalcy for the affected communities.
