Omani History
Omani history dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlement as early as 100,000 years ago. The region was known for its trade routes, connecting Arabia to East Africa and India. The Sassanian Empire and later the Islamic Caliphate influenced Oman, leading to the spread of Islam in the 7th century.
In the 17th century, Oman emerged as a powerful maritime nation, establishing a vast trading empire. The Al Said dynasty has ruled Oman since the mid-18th century, maintaining the country's independence. Today, Oman is known for its rich cultural heritage and strategic location along the Arabian Sea.
