Nubra Valley
Nubra Valley is a high-altitude desert located in the northern region of India, specifically in the Ladakh union territory. It lies north of the Khardung La pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The valley is known for its stunning landscapes, featuring sand dunes, mountains, and the Shyok and Nubra rivers.
The area is also home to unique wildlife and diverse cultures, including the Buddhist and Muslim communities. Visitors can explore traditional villages, ancient monasteries, and the famous Diskit Monastery, which houses a large statue of Maitreya Buddha.
