North-West Frontier Province
The North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) was a province in Pakistan that existed from 1901 until 2010. It was located in the northwestern part of the country, bordering Afghanistan. The province was known for its diverse ethnic groups, including Pashtuns, and its rugged mountainous terrain.
In 2010, the NWFP was renamed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of a broader effort to promote regional identity. The province has a rich history and has been a significant area for trade and cultural exchange due to its strategic location along the Khyber Pass.
