Neo-Destour
Neo-Destour is a political party in Tunisia founded in 1934. It emerged as a nationalist movement advocating for independence from French colonial rule. The party played a significant role in the struggle for Tunisia's sovereignty and was instrumental in the country's political landscape.
After Tunisia gained independence in 1956, Neo-Destour became the ruling party under the leadership of Habib Bourguiba. The party focused on modernizing the country and implementing social reforms. Over the years, it evolved and eventually transformed into the Democratic Constitutional Rally in 1988, reflecting changes in Tunisia's political environment.
