Navi architecture
The Navi architecture is a graphics processing unit (GPU) design developed by AMD for its Radeon line of products. Launched in 2019, it focuses on improving performance and efficiency, utilizing a 7nm manufacturing process. This architecture supports advanced features like Ray Tracing and Variable Rate Shading, enhancing visual quality in gaming and professional applications.
Navi architecture introduces the RDNA (Radeon DNA) microarchitecture, which optimizes power consumption and increases performance per watt compared to its predecessor, GCN (Graphics Core Next). It also includes support for PCIe 4.0, allowing faster data transfer rates between the GPU and the rest of the system.
