National Nutrition Mission
The National Nutrition Mission (NNM) is an initiative launched by the Government of India in 2018 to improve nutritional outcomes for children, adolescents, and women. The mission aims to reduce the prevalence of stunting, undernutrition, and anemia, and to promote healthy dietary practices. It focuses on enhancing the delivery of nutrition services through community participation and the use of technology.
The NNM operates under the umbrella of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and collaborates with various stakeholders, including state governments and local organizations. It emphasizes the importance of awareness and education regarding nutrition, aiming to empower communities to take charge of their health and well-being.
