Nalanda University
Nalanda University is an ancient center of learning located in Bihar, India. Established in the 5th century CE, it was one of the first residential universities in the world, attracting students and scholars from various countries, including China, Korea, and Tibet. The university offered a wide range of subjects, including philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, and medicine.
After declining in the 12th century due to invasions, Nalanda University was revived in 2010 as a modern institution. Today, it aims to promote higher education and research, drawing inspiration from its historical legacy while embracing contemporary academic practices.
