NGC Objects
NGC Objects refer to a catalog of astronomical objects compiled in the 19th century by the French astronomer Jean-Marie Pierre Méchain and later published by John Louis Emil Dreyer. The catalog, known as the New General Catalogue, includes over 7,800 entries, encompassing galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters.
Each NGC object is assigned a unique number, making it easier for astronomers to identify and study them. The catalog serves as a valuable resource for both amateur and professional astronomers, providing essential information about the location and characteristics of these celestial bodies.
