NGC 1397
NGC 1397 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 65 million light-years away in the constellation Fornax. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834 and is part of the Fornax Cluster, a group of galaxies that are gravitationally bound together.
This galaxy has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years and contains a significant number of stars, gas, and dust. NGC 1397 is notable for its bright central bar structure, which is characteristic of barred spiral galaxies, and it exhibits features typical of galactic evolution and star formation.
