NGC 1398
NGC 1398 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 65 million light-years away in the constellation Fornax. It is notable for its well-defined bar structure and bright central bulge, which are characteristic features of barred spiral galaxies.
Discovered by astronomer John Herschel in 1834, NGC 1398 has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years. It is part of a group of galaxies known as the Fornax Cluster, which contains several other galaxies and is an important area for studying galaxy formation and evolution.
