NAPLAN
NAPLAN stands for the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy. It is an annual assessment conducted in Australia for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. The tests evaluate students' skills in reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar, and punctuation), and numeracy.
The primary aim of NAPLAN is to measure students' progress and performance in these key areas. Results help schools, parents, and policymakers identify strengths and weaknesses in education, guiding improvements and support for students. The assessments are typically held in May each year.
