ACARA
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority, commonly known as ACARA, is an independent statutory authority in Australia. Established in 2008, its primary role is to develop and implement the national curriculum for schools across the country. ACARA ensures that the curriculum is consistent and meets the educational needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to curriculum development, ACARA is responsible for national assessments, such as the NAPLAN tests, which evaluate student performance in literacy and numeracy. The authority also oversees the reporting of educational outcomes, providing valuable data to schools, governments, and the public to improve education quality in Australia.
