Musa ibn Nusayr
Musa ibn Nusayr was a prominent Arab general and governor during the early Islamic period, particularly known for his role in the conquest of the Iberian Peninsula in the early 8th century. He served as the governor of North Africa and led military campaigns that expanded the reach of the Umayyad Caliphate into Europe.
Under his leadership, Muslim forces crossed into Spain in 711 AD, paving the way for the establishment of Al-Andalus.
