Muhammad al-Mahdi
Muhammad al-Mahdi is a significant figure in Islamic eschatology, particularly within the Shia branch of Islam. He is believed to be the twelfth and final Imam, who was born in 869 CE and went into occultation in 941 CE. Followers believe that he will reappear at the end of times to bring justice and peace to the world.
Al-Mahdi is often referred to as the "Mahdi," which means "the guided one." His return is anticipated to coincide with the arrival of Jesus in a time of great turmoil, where they will work together to establish a just society.
