Imam Hasan
Imam Hasan was the elder grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and the son of Fatimah and Ali. Born in 625 CE in Medina, he is revered in both Islam and Shia traditions. Known for his wisdom and piety, he played a significant role in early Islamic history.
After the assassination of his father, Imam Ali, in 661 CE, Hasan briefly became the caliph. However, he faced challenges from rival factions and eventually opted for peace, leading to a treaty with Muawiya, the Umayyad leader. This decision aimed to prevent further bloodshed among Muslims.
