Muhajirun
The term "Muhajirun" refers to the early Muslim immigrants who left Mecca to join the Prophet Muhammad in Medina during the Hijra in 622 CE. This migration was a pivotal moment in Islamic history, marking the establishment of the first Muslim community. The Muhajirun faced various challenges, including social and economic hardships, as they sought refuge and support in their new home.
The Muhajirun were significant in shaping the early Islamic state and played a crucial role in spreading the teachings of Islam. They were often supported by the local inhabitants of Medina, known as the Ansar, who welcomed them and shared their resources. This collaboration laid the foundation for a united Muslim community.
