Mount Singgalang
Mount Singgalang is an active volcano located in West Sumatra, Indonesia. It stands at an elevation of 2,877 meters (9,439 feet) and is part of the Barisan Mountains range. The mountain is known for its symmetrical cone shape and lush surrounding forests, making it a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
The last recorded eruption of Mount Singgalang occurred in 1902, and since then, it has remained dormant. The area around the volcano is rich in biodiversity, hosting various plant and animal species. Visitors can enjoy stunning views from the summit, as well as explore the nearby Lake Singkarak, the largest lake in West Sumatra.
