Mogollon people
The Mogollon people were an ancient Native American culture that thrived in the southwestern United States, particularly in present-day New Mexico and Arizona. They are known for their unique pottery, intricate basketry, and distinctive adobe dwellings. The Mogollon culture developed around 200 CE and is characterized by its agricultural practices, including the cultivation of crops like corn, beans, and squash.
Over time, the Mogollon people transitioned from a nomadic lifestyle to a more settled existence, forming villages and engaging in trade with neighboring cultures, such as the Ancestral Puebloans. Their society flourished until around 1400 CE, when many Mogollon communities began to decline, likely due to environmental changes and resource depletion.
