Moche civilization
The Moche civilization was an ancient culture that thrived in northern Peru from around 100 to 800 AD. Known for their advanced agricultural techniques, the Moche developed extensive irrigation systems to support their farming. They were skilled artisans, creating intricate pottery, textiles, and metalwork, often depicting their daily life and religious beliefs.
The Moche are also famous for their impressive architectural achievements, including large pyramids made of adobe bricks, such as the Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna. Their society was organized into city-states, and they practiced complex religious rituals, often involving human sacrifice to honor their gods.
