Huaca del Sol
Huaca del Sol is an ancient adobe brick pyramid located in Peru, specifically in the Moche Valley. It was built by the Moche civilization around 100 AD and served as a ceremonial center. The structure is approximately 40 meters high and was constructed using millions of mud bricks.
The pyramid was part of a larger complex that included the nearby Huaca de la Luna, another significant archaeological site. Excavations have revealed various artifacts, including pottery and murals, which provide insight into the religious practices and daily life of the Moche people.
