Mission San Buenaventura
Mission San Buenaventura is a historic Spanish mission located in Ventura, California. Founded in 1782 by Father JunÃpero Serra, it was the ninth mission established in California. The mission played a significant role in the spread of Christianity among the local Chumash people and served as a center for agriculture and trade.
The mission features a beautiful church with a distinctive bell tower and a peaceful courtyard. Today, it is a popular tourist destination and a site for community events, preserving the history and culture of the early California missions while continuing to serve the local community.
