"Midsummer Night's Dream" is a play by William Shakespeare that explores themes of love, magic, and transformation. Set in Athens and a nearby enchanted forest, the story follows four young lovers—Hermia, Lysander, Helena, and Demetrius—as they navigate romantic confusion caused by the mischievous fairy Puck.
The play also features a group of amateur actors, known as the Mechanicals, who prepare a play for the Duke's wedding. As the characters' paths intertwine, misunderstandings and magical interventions lead to humorous situations, ultimately culminating in a joyful resolution and multiple weddings.
