Mexican states
Mexico is divided into 32 federal entities, which include 31 states and one capital city, Mexico City. Each state has its own government and constitution, allowing for local governance and cultural diversity. The states vary in size, population, and geography, ranging from the deserts of Sonora to the tropical beaches of Quintana Roo.
The states are grouped into regions, such as Northern Mexico, Central Mexico, and Southern Mexico, each with distinct characteristics. Some well-known states include Jalisco, famous for its tequila, and Yucatán, known for its Mayan heritage and archaeological sites.
