Mehr-un-Nissa
Mehr-un-Nissa was a prominent historical figure in the Mughal Empire, known for her beauty and intelligence. Born in 1542, she later became the wife of Emperor Jahangir, who ruled from 1605 to 1627. Her marriage to Jahangir elevated her status, and she played a significant role in the court's political affairs.
Mehr-un-Nissa was also known by her title, Nur Jahan, which means "Light of the World." As empress, she was influential in art, culture, and governance, often depicted in paintings and literature of the time. Her legacy continues to be celebrated in Indian history.
