Medieval Croatia
Medieval Croatia, from the 7th to the 15th century, was characterized by the establishment of various principalities and the influence of the Roman Empire. The region saw the rise of the Kingdom of Croatia in the 10th century, which later entered a personal union with the Kingdom of Hungary in 1102. This period was marked by the spread of Christianity and the construction of numerous churches and fortifications.
During the medieval era, Croatia faced invasions from the Ottoman Empire and internal conflicts among noble families. The Croatian Parliament, known as the Sabor, played a significant role in governance. The cultural landscape flourished with the development of literature and art, reflecting the diverse influences of neighboring regions.
