Meat & Livestock Australia
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is a not-for-profit organization that supports the Australian meat and livestock industry. It focuses on research, development, and marketing to enhance the productivity and sustainability of beef, lamb, and goat sectors. MLA works closely with producers, processors, and retailers to improve industry practices and promote Australian meat products both domestically and internationally.
Established in 1998, MLA is funded by levies from producers and processors, as well as government contributions. The organization aims to ensure the long-term viability of the industry by addressing challenges such as market access, animal welfare, and environmental sustainability.
