May Isle Lighthouse
May Isle Lighthouse is located on May Isle, a small island in the Firth of Forth, Scotland. The lighthouse was first established in 1824 and stands at a height of 16 meters. It was designed by the renowned engineer Robert Stevenson, who was part of a famous family of lighthouse builders. The lighthouse helps guide ships safely through the waters of the Firth.
The lighthouse is an important navigational aid for vessels traveling to and from the ports of Edinburgh and Leith. It features a distinctive white tower with a black lantern, making it easily recognizable. Today, May Isle Lighthouse is still operational and is maintained by the Northern Lighthouse Board.
