Masutatsu Oyama
Masutatsu Oyama was a Japanese martial artist, best known for founding the style of karate called Kyokushin. Born on July 27, 1923, in Korea, he moved to Japan after World War II, where he began training in various martial arts. Oyama became famous for his rigorous training methods and his ability to break boards and bricks with his bare hands.
In addition to his martial arts achievements, Oyama was also a skilled fighter, participating in numerous full-contact matches. He wrote several books on karate and philosophy, promoting the values of discipline and perseverance. His legacy continues through the many Kyokushin dojos around the world.
