The Mars Perseverance Rover is a robotic spacecraft designed to explore the surface of Mars. Launched by NASA on July 30, 2020, it landed in the Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021. Its primary mission is to search for signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for future return to Earth.
Equipped with advanced scientific instruments, the rover analyzes the Martian environment and tests new technologies for future human exploration. The Perseverance also carries the Ingenuity helicopter, which conducts aerial flights to gather data and demonstrate powered flight on another planet for the first time.
