Marie-Henriette of Austria
Marie-Henriette of Austria was born on July 23, 1836, in Vienna, Austria. She was the daughter of Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary and Princess Maria Dorothea of Bavaria. In 1857, she married King Leopold II of Belgium, becoming the Queen consort of Belgium.
As queen, Marie-Henriette was known for her charitable work and support of the arts. She played a significant role in promoting education and healthcare in Belgium. Marie-Henriette passed away on January 19, 1902, and is remembered for her contributions to Belgian society and her dedication to her royal duties.
