Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary
Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary was a prominent figure in the Habsburg monarchy during the 18th century. Born on March 8, 1776, he was the son of Archduke Joseph Anton of Austria and Princess Maria Theresa of Bourbon. As Palatine, he served as the highest-ranking official in Hungary, responsible for overseeing the administration and governance of the region.
Joseph was known for his efforts to modernize Hungary and improve its infrastructure. He played a significant role in promoting education and economic development, aiming to strengthen the ties between Hungary and the Habsburg Empire. His tenure as Palatine lasted until his death on January 13, 1847.
