Margaret of Sweden
Margaret of Sweden was a notable historical figure born in 1353. She was the daughter of King Magnus IV of Sweden and Queen Blanche of Namur. Margaret became the Queen of Denmark and Norway through her marriage to King Haakon VI of Norway, and she played a significant role in the unification of the three kingdoms under the Kalmar Union.
Margaret was known for her strong leadership and political acumen. After the death of her son, Olaf II of Denmark, she effectively ruled as regent and worked to strengthen her influence across Scandinavia. Her reign marked a pivotal period in Nordic history, lasting until her death in 1412.
