Marcus Antonius
Marcus Antonius, commonly known as Mark Antony, was a Roman politician and general who lived from 83 BC to 30 BC. He was a close ally of Julius Caesar and played a significant role in the transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. After Caesar's assassination in 44 BC, Antony formed a political alliance with Octavian, Caesar's adopted heir, and Marcus Lepidus, creating the Second Triumvirate to defeat their enemies.
