Manx Shearwater
The Manx Shearwater is a medium-sized seabird known for its long wings and streamlined body. It has a distinctive black upper body and white underparts, making it easily recognizable. This bird is primarily found in the North Atlantic, breeding on islands such as those in the British Isles and Iceland.
Manx Shearwaters are excellent fliers, often gliding over the ocean's surface while searching for food. Their diet mainly consists of small fish and squid, which they catch by diving into the water. These birds are known for their remarkable long-distance migrations, traveling thousands of miles between breeding and wintering grounds.
